Google is the most popular search engine, having 90% of the global market share, followed by Bing (6%), Yahoo (4% USA), Yandex (Russia 45%), and Baidu (China 65%) – so it makes sense (unless your main market is Russia or China) to optimise your site for Google searches.
Google spiders will follow links to collect info about websites, which they put in an index. Search engines use an algorithm to turn the index into search results.
Ranking is based on how often the spider visits your site, how important Google considers your site to be, and how often you update the content.

Guidance on SEO best practices
If you require ongoing updates, management or maintenance of your site I can offer a pro-rata rate or monthly fee.
I would highly recommend regular maintenance for a WordPress, Joomla or Drupal site. CMS core files are constantly updated for security and functionality and without regular updates for plugins and theme files, the site can lose functionality or break entirely.
The packages I offer consist of varying degrees of support, each one includes FREE content and design updates depending on package.
